ecs has developed a tool which allows a
semiautomatic classification. It
enables the manual override in order
to meet specific customer requirements,
on the other hand, semiautomatic
classification and processing of large
data sets is possible. For many
companys, the first step needed is not
a standardized classification system (such
as ecl@ss,
UNSPC, etc.) for C and MRO parts, but
an optimization of the complete range
of purchasing parts with
company-specific requirements. The
Data Engineer extracts the relevant
criteria for classification from the
material master data, so that
efficient commodity groups can be
formed. In a second step the
semiautomatic classification can be
performed.
