In view of dramatic changes
in the current economic crisis, the
cards will be shuffled anew for
electronics component prices. The
consequences of the following effects
in their entirety are increasingly
difficult to assess:
 |
collapse of
demand across all industries in
the range of 25 - 28% against
2008 |
 |
strong USD
and JPY exchange rate fluctuations |
 |
the
resulting dramatic losses of
semiconductor manufacturers
since mid 2008 and the measures
to be expected thereof |
These risks can
currently - as in the automotive
industrie - hardly be conveyed on the
vendor side. Customers request further
cost reductions in spie of the crisis.
For purchasing, this requires more
than ever a secure assessment of the
own market position in order to react
as soon as possible to eventual need
for action.
ecs-Benchmarking can show the own
positioning within the market.
