What does
Data Jungle mean? If data structures
are so deficient that the overall
picture gets lost. In most cases the
standard statistics ERP systems
provide are not enough for the
important issues. Moreover, there are
often mistakes in the data.
Without industry and functional
competence data content cannot be
understood and therefore not really
structured. In this way, the job to
make sense out of company data remains
usually with staff themselves. A tedious job for
which there is usually no budget.
In several years we have been building
up comprehensive Knowledge Bases for
various industries and areas. By
applying modern methods of
computational linguistics, we are able
to classify data by its content and to
do the processing according to the
respective purpose. Applications range
from simple product group
classification to restructuring of
entire data structures or the transfer
of certain data attributes into
databases.
The result is for many of our
customers a transparency never
experienced before which can
immediately be translated into
tangible benefits, e.g. in Purchasing.
